Teatru Wybrzeze comes to Bootle
Following the Yellow House visit to Gdansk for the Gdansk Millennium Celebrations in August 1997, a visit by Teatru Wybrzeze to work collaboratively with Yellow House was arranged by Yellow House and Sefton Council.
The devising of performance, workshops and exchange of ideas and practice, took place in the Bootle YMCA.
Just round the corner from the YMCA building is Derby Park where Philip Courtenay set up a photoshoot with the whole group to extend the photographic "portrait" of people from, and in, different places.
The devising of performance was led by George McKane, with input from the art creating society group, particularly a contribution from Tony Potts. This resulted in a public performance at the Civic Centre in Southport shown on this video.
